Zane is an energetic and optimistic 3-year-old on the autism spectrum who lives with his mother and siblings at his aunt’s house after the family lost their home. He recently began an early intervention program and loves going to school. Zane is unreliably verbal, which can make communication challenging, but he is very outgoing and always greets others with a big smile. He enjoys watching Hotel Transylvania, Moana, and Paw Patrol: Mighty Pups. His mother says he is ‘obsessed’ with cars, trains, and big trucks. Zane loves to climb, play outside in the yard, and splash in the small pool at his aunt’s house. He is very close to his older siblings and especially attached to his aunt. While he sometimes gets frustrated due to communication struggles, Zane tries very hard to play well with his peers and is always welcoming to others who want to join in.
